Windmoor Healthcare Employee Presents at National Intervention ConferenceCLEARWATER, Fla. – (June 10, 2010) – Windmoor Healthcare, a Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (PSI) facility, is pleased to announce that Tom Talley was a featured speaker at the annual conference of the Association of Intervention Specialists held May 3-9 in Santa Monica, Calif. Talley spoke about the recent development of a case breakthrough on sweepstakes gambling and fraud, which has victimized seniors and their families across the country. The new method may open doors to helping the elderly understand the risks associated with sweepstakes gambling and how to identify fraud activity. Talley has been employed with Windmoor for 10 years and worked in the addiction field for more than three decades. He has performed hundreds of interventions for families with substance abuse and gambling problems. In addition to completing Levels I, II and III of Systemic Family Intervention Training at the Spear-Raiter Institute, Talley has traveled across the United States as an Interventionist, providing services and support to persons in need. He also conducts training and presentations in the field. Talley obtained his National Certification as a Compulsive Gambling Counselor more than 12 years ago. He is a member of the National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC), Association of Interventionists and serves as the vice president of the Florida Council on Compulsive Gambling Board of Directors.
